Biomethane – Practical Experience & Targets Upgrading – injection – transport – utilization - BECCU
SAVE THE DATE! Invitation to 3rd R2Gas Biomethane Workshop House of Engineers Vienna
Following its first two biomethane workshops in Vienna on April 2023, resp. April 2024, the Research Centre for Renewable Gases - R2Gas (https://www.r2gas.org/events) is organising the 3rd Biomethane Workshop with the participation of experienced executives and specialists from the industry. The workshop will be dedicated to latest technical developments improving the economic feasibility of projects as well as key market related issues, like Union Database (UDB), Guarantees of Origin (GOs), EU-ETS etc.
The workshop will take place on 23rd April 2025 in the House of Engineers in Vienna.
You are cordially invited to participate in this special event which - with three breaks - provides an excellent opportunity for gathering up-to-date information, exchanging views with colleagues, for communicating and networking.
The following presentations are foreseen in the preliminary agenda:
- Renewable gases in the Union Database
- EU-ETS 2: A hands-on experience
- AGCS operating the biomethane Certificates of Origin scheme of ERGaR
- GoO, PoS and GHG calculation for biomethane including implementing in ETS and national ETS.
- Main European biogas/biomethane markets (FR, IT, UK) from the viewpoint of a technology provider
- Biogas prospects, challenges, constraints in Serbia
- Biomethane export to Europe from Ukraine - potential, conditions and challenges
- Membrane upgrading: economic feasibility/profitability for different plant sizes in Austria
- Technical and economic challenges at converting CHP biogas plants to biomethane production (practical experience in Germany)
- The economy of scale in different segments of biomethane technology: anaerobic digestion, upgrading, carbon dioxide recovery, liquification
- The feasibility of virtual pipeline solutions for biomethane distribution
- Syngas in California: practical examples of RNG projects
- Introducing the first results of the Biomethaverse project
