Conclusion: Everything is actually already in place – if renewable energies that already exist are cleverly combined and utilised, the energy transition and self-sufficient energy supply in Germany can succeed. To achieve this, it is necessary for biogas to be politically recognised and promoted as an important building block for stabilising the energy supply.

Collaborative / Joint project „MuD BMA Lewitz“

The project partners came together in order to build a demonstration plant for the fermentation of large quantities of horse manure and for the production of bio-LNG as a fuel. Intended input materials for the fermentation are farm manure, including horse manure from Paul Schockemöhle Pferdehaltung GmbH, and energy crops.

Demonstration Project: Biomethane from Horse Manure

Together with Schockemöhle Bioenergie & Co KG, we are developing an optimised substrate logistic concept. The particular challenges here are the minimisation of energy losses during storage and the handling of impurities. Operators of other biogas and biomethane plants can also learn from this if they are planning to ferment large quantities of manure.

REGATEC 2023 in Berlin

The REGATEC conference will be held in Berlin at the Van der Valk hotel from May 15-16, 2023. The focus will be on renewable methane for gas mobility or grid injection, including anaerobic digestion, gasification and power-to-gas.
